About the Role

We're looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented professional to join our team as HR Advisor. In this role, you will manage a high volume of routine and recurring HR cases within established policies and practices, exercising sound judgment while working in close partnership with the HR Director. The Advisor handles day-to-day employee relations, performance support, and workforce processes, escalating complex, high-risk, or strategically significant matters as appropriate. Success in this role is measured by consistent execution, compliance, responsiveness, and effective operational support of frontline leaders.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to frontline supervisors and managers on performance management, corrective action, documentation, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation within established HR frameworks.
  • Lead standard workplace investigations, ensuring consistent application of policies and thorough documentation, while collaborating with the HR Director and escalating complex or high-risk matters as appropriate.
  • Support terminations and corrective actions to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
  • Support execution of annual HR processes, including performance reviews and engagement surveys, ensuring timely completion and adherence to guidelines.
  • Partner with operational leaders to intake and process recruitment requests and coordinate with Talent Acquisition to facilitate timely hiring and onboarding.
  • Advise managers and employees on leave processes and support accommodation and return-to-work processes, ensuring documentation and compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Manage voluntary and involuntary separation processes, conduct exit interviews, and summarize themes for leadership review.
  • Utilize Workday for employee lifecycle transactions, reporting, and data integrity while generating workforce reports and identifying trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within assigned responsibilities and support implementation of process improvements and technology enhancements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations support in a high-volume or operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience advising frontline supervisors and managers.
  • Experience supporting performance management, investigations, leave administration, and recruitment coordination.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws and regulations; Canadian employment legislation knowledge preferred.
  • Strong employee relations and documentation skills.
  • Analytical capability to interpret data and identify observable trends.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.

Location Owings Mills, Maryland

The hiring base salary range for this position is $75,500 to $103,840 USD annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
