Eastman Kodak is seeking an innovative and motivated Polymer Chemistry Intern for the Summer 2026 to join our team. We currently have multiple internships available within this group in Rochester, New York.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about polymer synthesis and functionalization. The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in organic chemistry with some hands on research experience in polymer or organic chemistry. Other key skills include excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research and development environment.

Qualifications:



  • The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in organic chemistry and some polymer synthesis/ material characterization understanding. Other key skills include excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a Research and Development environment.
  • Preference will be given to students that have completed at least one Co-op/Intern/REU working in polymer synthesis.
  • Interested in Students currently enrolled in BS or MS in Chemistry.



Responsibilities:



  • The intern will gain experience polymer synthesis and functionalization of polymers for adhesion applications.
  • Provide synthesis and characterization support as needed under the direction of his or her mentor.
  • Discuss procedures to be followed, conduct experiments adhering to safety protocols, document experiment observations, and characterization results.
