Tool & Die Maker I

Schedule (M-F 6:45-3pm)

$29.00

Who we are looking for:



  • Perform die changeovers and startups
  • Clean, repair, inventory all tooling
  • Maintain inventory levels for tooling and die needs
  • MUST be self-motivated and provide excellent support to the Extrusion department
  • Inspect dies, mandrels, pins, bushings, and sizing sleeves for acceptable levels of chrome, damage, scratches or repairs needed
  • Manage the relationship with tooling manufacturers and services
  • Investigate production issues related tooling, heater bands, thermocouples
  • Safe keeping of all tools and tooling area
  • Coordinate the production process vacuum gaskets and related materials
  • Coordinate tooling changes so that this does not interfere with production scheduling
  • Take an active role in all aspects of changeovers in order to uphold changeover time standards
  • Assist Maintenance Department when requested
  • Works Overtime and On Call as required per Management
  • Other tasks as assigned



What you'll bring:




  • Mechanical experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks throughout the workday.
  • Good communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Computer skills.

Within 3 months, you'll:




  • Complete any required training
  • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
  • Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $29.00. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
