Application Window Open date: March 24, 2026 Next review date: Wednesday, Apr 8, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Sep 24, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Full Specialist - Nowakowski lab The Full Specialist will independently manage and advance a portfolio of research projects in developmental neuroscience within the Nowakowski laboratory at UCSF. The incumbent will apply advanced expertise in lineage tracing, single-cell genomics, and comparative neurodevelopment to lead data analysis, design and execute targeted experiments, and oversee the preparation and submission of peer-reviewed manuscripts. Responsibilities include coordinating multi-investigator collaborations, integrating data into manuscripts, and contributing to the conceptual development of ongoing studies focused on human and primate cortical development and related disease models. The Specialist will provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior trainees, maintain rigorous research documentation and compliance with institutional standards, and contribute substantively to the laboratory's scholarly output. This position requires demonstrated professional competence, scientific independence, and the ability to manage research projects through submission and revision. Required Qualifications:
