Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity for a Specialist, Technical Documentation. The Specialist, Technical Documentation will clarify complex materials by writing assignment and organization per set standards concerning order, conciseness, terminology, and style. The Specialist, Technical Documentation will format, edit, and maintain materials developed by other writers to ensure continuity of style and content to meet all SAI documentation standards. They will collaborate with content contributors to provide diagrams, photographs, sketches, or charts to illustrate information and help in the layout of material for publication. The Specialist, Technical Documentation will determine detail and operating procedures by observation of development, experimental activities, production and feedback from intended audience. The Specialist, Technical Documentation will ensure documentation adheres to regulatory requirements. The Specialist, Technical Documentation will assign the technical documentation approval process to meet all SAI documentation standards. Specialist, Technical Documentation will work with subject matter experts to create documentation required to support Customer Care activities including: installations, hardware/software upgrades, and regular maintenance activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Create, write, edit, standardize, and integrate content across all channels, including operational, instructional, maintenance, or test procedures for multimedia or web-based publication.
2. Help users find what they need, understand what they find, and implement appropriately.
3. Research and translate technical information into processes, procedures, and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users.
4. Ensure content is of excellent quality, relevant, strategic, accurate, consistent, and completed on time.
5. Foster and maintain strategic and collaborative communication with internal/external customers, teammates, and external vendors.
6. Maintain records and files of work and revisions as needed for additional daily tasks.
7. Organize, manage, and audit document repositories, ensuring version control and compliance with company standards.
8. Think creatively - develop, design, or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, and products.
9. Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks that strengthen and advance the technical documentation function.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Risk: Regular exposure to risk that may require alertness, but with minimal precautions.

Travel Percentage: 10%

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is ($61,400 - $87,700). Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive bonus, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave and a 401(K) for all eligible employees.



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree or 5+ years required experience in creating end-user documentation, or other relevant experience which may include experience in the Armed Forces.
  • Trained as a Beyond Care Documentation author is a plus.
  • Trained on Sysmex instrumentation and support tools required
  • Proficient in written and spoken English language with knowledge of translation/localization methods required.
  • Portuguese, Spanish and/or French written language skills are a plus.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (or similar), primarily in design, knowledge of digital and print production processes and workflows, preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft OS and Office Suites required.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional non-technical and technical teams required.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately complete job tasks at a high quality, be self-motivated, and goal oriented required.
  • Ability to maintain close attention to detail required.
