The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for an Program Analyst to support Head Quarters Marine Corps (HQMC) Plans, Policies and Operations at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. The analyst will collect strategic-level observations, support senior leader taskings, and link lessons to policy and planning.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect strategic-level observations from Head Quarters Marine Corps (HQMC) and Supporting Establishment operations
  • Support senior leader taskings and requirements
  • Link lessons learned to policy and planning initiatives
  • Provide analytical support for Head Quarters Marine Corps decision-making processes
  • Coordinate with Supporting Establishment organizations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Leadership, or related field with 5-7 years of relevant experience. Degree may be substituted with education
  • Graduate of Marine Corps Command & Staff College or Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education course. (preferred)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in the following areas: Systems Section in the Readiness Branch of Plans, Policies and Operations; developing requirements and implementing enterprise software solutions; Plans Officer roles; Operations Officer positions; Joint Interagency Coordination; DASC Officer duties; or Marine Civil Affairs
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-level military environment
  • Ability to communicate and interface with Military leaders and commanders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, build rapport with end users, customers, and unit leaders in order to develop effective working relationships

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
