GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Loan Collateral Protection Clerk I is responsible for handling a variety of clerical tasks in a timely and accurate manner. This includes tracking insurance claims from time of notice to completion, responding to internal and external customer inquiries and a variety of other clerical duties including, but not limited to, processing incoming mail and faxes. |

ESSENTIAL DUTIES |
|
- Processes, monitors, and updates insurance claims from time of notice to completion. Responsible for gathering initial insurance claim information and communicating appropriately with third party insurance tracking vendors, insurance agents/companies, customers, and other internal departments. Creates and sends appropriate correspondence including, but not limited to, lien releases, continue payments, and warranty cancellations. This duty is performed about 35% of time.
- Monitors and updates Consumer Auto Insurance tracking reports, sending requests for insurance as needed. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
- Works service events and answers phone calls from internal and external customers. Assists with a variety of customer questions including, but not limited to, status of insurance claims, insurance requirements, and escrow disbursement statuses. This duty is performed about 25% of the time.
- Process incoming mail and faxes, and assist as needed with a variety of other clerical tasks and special projects. This duty is performed about 30% of the time.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS |
- High school diploma or GED
- Regular use of desktop/laptop computer and basic operating systems
- Basic experience with alphanumeric data entry, Excel, and Word Processing
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement.
