Salesforce is looking for a People Data Program Strategist to join the HRIS team. This role plays a critical function in delivering seamless employee data execution across global HR programs and transformations-including M&A, job architecture redesigns, reorganizations, large-scale promotions, and system implementations.
This individual focuses on data strategy, operational alignment, and program enablement-ensuring Workday and downstream systems are prepared, integrated, and governed appropriately. The ideal candidate will work across HR Centers of Excellence, DET, and global program owners to scope requirements, manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and drive end-to-end data readiness.

Responsibilities:

Provide expertise in business analysis, facilitation and needs analysis, and solutions to needs

* Understand and define roles and responsibilities for new or existing projects and programs
* Define business requirements and lead cross-functional planning of data needs for complex HR programs
* Evaluate data impacts, process changes, risks, and mitigation strategies across platforms and systems
* Serve as a strategic partner to HR program owners, DET, and HRIS to align data timelines and system constraints
* Develop practical specifications and conversion strategies that uphold data integrity and compliance
* Facilitate testing and validation efforts during user acceptance testing (UAT), supporting cutover and hypercare as needed
* Translate business goals into technical deliverables and ensure seamless handoffs to execution teams- data quality and data processing teams
* Gather and clarify requirements using interviews, process maps, use cases, workshops, and data flow documentation

Oversee end-to-end data readiness and execution for global ES programs, driving alignment, risk management, and seamless cutover while enabling stakeholders through training, communication, and strategic partnership.

* Lead data readiness efforts including limited transaction planning windows, exception handling, and stakeholder alignment
* Develop and maintain trackers, readiness tools, and cutover runbooks to support repeatable execution
* Manage risks and issues logs, driving resolution through clear ownership and escalation pathways
* Communicate status and risks to program leadership and executive sponsors with clarity and urgency
* Partner with change management to assess system/process impacts and contribute to stakeholder enablement plans
* Partner and advise Data Quality and Data Processing on best practices, risks, and impacts. Inform Data Integration Leads on critical decisions that will impact GESO
* Deliver targeted training and coaching to global partners, empowering them to maximize the use of Workday and related systems. Serve as a trusted escalation point for complex troubleshooting, ensuring swift issue resolution and knowledge transfer to strengthen overall team capability.
* Leverage deep knowledge of employee data, Workday workflows, and system integrations to identify process gaps, streamline operations, and partner with global teams to implement scalable, efficient solutions.

Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships and gain consensus with all internal and external stakeholders

* Act as the connection between Employee Success, BT/DET, HRIS, Product, Data Quality, Data Processing, Data Integration Leads, and impacted COEs
* Represent employee data considerations in cross-functional forums and program workstreams
* Use experimentation and proofs of concept to quickly build understanding and alignment
* Ensure a shared understanding of data sequencing, metadata changes, and downstream impacts across partners

Required Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, HR, or related field
* 5-10 years of experience in HRIS, HR data, or HR technology roles
* 5+ years of experience with Workday or similar HCM systems
* Deep understanding of employee lifecycle data, metadata governance, and HR system dependencies
* Experience managing high-visibility programs with significant HR data impact
* Familiarity with Employee Success operating rhythms, such as PeopleForce

Desired Experience:

* Experience with Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.), Workday, or other HRIS sytems
* Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior PHR (SPHR) certification
