Gartner research and insights help business leaders make more effective decisions every day. Our Revenue Marketing team strives to understand the needs of the customers and communities we serve and design the most effective programs to meet those needs. This team accelerates sales activity by attracting, engaging, and converting leaders and their teams through the delivery of compelling Gartner insights and experiences throughout the buyer journey.

Our Revenue Marketing team is tasked with delivering programs that help convert prospects into clients by bringing the full Gartner value proposition to life through immersive experiences. We are looking for a leader to partner closely with Sales leaders and partners across the business to drive an improved prospect experience and increased growth from these programs.

The primary focus of this role is Invitational Programs in which we provide prospects with an exclusive, curated experience to help Sales close qualified prospects at a Gartner Conference. The other priorities are both Local (in person) and Virtual Briefings, where we bring the Gartner value proposition to prospects through local gatherings or webinar-based experiences, respectively. The Director, Revenue Marketing is a highly collaborative, business-savvy professional who has extensive experience in leading sales operations & enablement programs and delivering business impact.

What you will do:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of marketing program managers.Build an agile, highly productive team, engaging, nurturing, and developing talent through strong leadership.

  • Partner closely with senior GBS Sales leaders, as well as Conferences leaders and your team to build and execute highly effective Marketing programs aligned to the needs of each region.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with executive leadership throughout the organization.Partner with Sales, Conferences, Research, Service Delivery, and other Marketing teams to drive increased business impact and growth.

  • Drive structured cadence of reporting and communications that is accurate, timely, and valuable, that meets Sales' needs, improves Sales Productivity and enables strategic decision making.

  • Be an evolver of best practices by continually seeking input from partners, sharing across the team and with key stakeholders; problem solve to continuously improve programs.

  • Partner seamlessly across senior leaders to address all escalations and sales leader requests with urgency, always working toward a mutually agreed solution.

  • Drive continuous innovation of execution through the identification of new opportunities, leveraging data-driven decision making.

  • Contribute to Invitational Programs strategy evolution through active participation in strategic problem-solving with senior leaders, owning and driving innovation pilots and programs, and actively bring new ideas and seeking new opportunities to improve prospect experience, win rates, and overall growth.

  • Drive the creation and evolution of playbooks, processes, roles and responsibilities, and other foundational elements to ensure seamless execution.

  • Partner closely with Gartner's analytics team to set the analytics foundation for our program success, including ROI measurement, reporting, analysis and interpretation of trends.

What you will need:

  • 10+ years business and/or marketing experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

  • Demonstrated business acumen and experience developing/executing marketing and sales enablement programs; Conferences/live event experience a plus

  • A proven track record of performance excellence, meeting targets, and objectives

  • Experience managing multiple direct reports and working with cross functional teams in a matrixed organization

  • Experience leading multiple highly complex and/or strategic marketing or sales enablement programs simultaneously

  • Proven ability to make data-driven, strategic decision making, and take a data-driven approach to problem solving with leaders and teams

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and design appropriate solutions; experience aligning with stakeholders on those solutions and then executing via the team

  • Excellent communication skills both written and presentation, include ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results; executive audience communication skills a plus

  • Strong project management, planning and organization skills

  • Willingness to travel 10-15% of time

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 120,000 USD - 167,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
