Schedule for Day Shift 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM**

Starting pay rate $21.50

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for setting up, operating, or tending machines to mix or blend materials, such as chemicals, or color pigments following production plan.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Observes production or monitors equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Fills in for the Compound Machine Operator during their absence, including performing machine start-up /shutdown, quality checks, and become familiar with material changeovers
• Weighs, measures, and loads ingredients and checks mixture for specified consistency
• Adds or mixes chemicals or ingredients for processing. Check product quality on extruder. Completed PM as necessary.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment, while adhering to the principles of First in First Out (FIFO) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Excellent Safety and Attendance Record
• Know and be able to followOSHA safety standards related to job
• Basic reading, writing and numerical ability
• Ability to communicate with proper personnel when changes or problems occur
• Flexible to work overtime as needed
• Ability to follow directions and perform tasks with minimum supervision
• Ability to work as a team player

**Please note this position follows an alternating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Production experience preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
