Read more at www.dsv.com Location: USA - Carteret, Salt Meadow Rd Division:Solutions Job Posting Title: Facility Assistant- Janitor 2nd Shift Time Type: Full Time POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision, the FacilityAssistant, Janitoris responsible for maintaininga clean and orderly Building / Facility. Work is performed with some independence within established policies,proceduresand techniques, and is subject to general or direct supervision as the work situationwarrants. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet companyobjectivesin the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected tocomply withall corporate and site-specific policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain offices, cubical, conference rooms, restrooms,and orany other office space clean and in orderly fashion. Prepare conference rooms with coffee, drinks, and or food (whenrequired) Maintain Storage areas (neat and clean) Maintains cleanliness of exterior grounds (bay areas, lobby entrances, etc.,) Empty trash receptacles in the warehouse daily at a minimum. Maintain floors daily to ensure cleanliness, no dirt and debris,obstaclesand trip/slip hazards. Post hazard information signs where needed. Maintain materials in a neat,cleanand orderly fashion. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education& Experience: Six monthsexperience in a similar role Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate Computer Skills Basic computer skills Certificates & Licenses: Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal) Mathematical Skills Basic math Other Skills Clear speakingin order tocommunicate effectively with vendors/customers Must be able to read andcomprehendwritten procedures and instructions Able tomaintainemployee confidentiality Physical ability to lift (50lbs), bend and reach Methods in handling materials and equipment used in performing housekeeping duties Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Occasionally Handling/ Sitting Frequently Bending Constantly Walking and Standing Ability to Lift/Carry and Push/Pull 21-50 pounds Reachaboveshoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel. Other Physical Requirements: WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employeerarely isexposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment isusually lowto moderate. For this position, the expected base pay range is : $17.00 per hour plus a Shift Differential of $1.50 per hour. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location, and other objective business considerations.
