Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Business Operations and Quality/Compliance Advisor incumbent serves as a senior-level business systems analyst who leads strategic efforts to enhance pharmacy operations across contract management, drug access, regulatory compliance, and accreditation readiness. This role partners with internal teams-pharmacy leadership, legal, procurement, finance, IT-and external stakeholders to design and implement systems, processes, and analytics that optimize clinical services, quality, and compliance enterprise-wide.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reporting, data visualization, and audit documentation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in pharmacy operations, contracting, compliance, or accreditation -preferably in a large health system or academic setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, stakeholder collaboration, and project coordination capabilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise with pharmacy contract analysis (including restricted access or high-cost drug programs) and regulatory frameworks (URAC, ACHC, CMS, HRSA/340B).
  • Advanced degrees (PharmD, MBA, MHA, JD, MPH).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with University of California procurement policies, compliance standards, and enterprise resource systems.
  • Experience with UC Health structures, contract lifecycle tools (e.g., Icertis, OnBase), and system analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience supporting drug management, limited-distribution drug programs, or high-cost medication access.
  • Current California Pharmacist License
