MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) seeks a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatristto join our growing behavioral health team in Biddeford. We are seeking a board-certified/eligible Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric consultation to the medical/surgical units. This role is part of a large, well-established Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service at Maine Medical Center (MMC) Portland, which consists of fellowship trained C-L psychiatrists and experienced APP's. This position offers integration with the Portland based team, with access to the educational activities, including interdisciplinary teaching, case conferences, quality improvement, and scholarly activities. We offer academic collaboration with the MMC Portland Department of Psychiatry residency and Tufts Medical School students, with the opportunity to teach. We are seeking physicians who can provide assessment and management of co-occurring medical, psychiatric, and substance use disorders. MMC Biddeford is part of a larger MaineHealth system, MaineHealth Behavioral Health, with seamless integration with mental health services, including ECT, partial hospitalization and ACT programs. MaineHealth Biddeford Campus: The MaineHealth Biddeford campus is home to MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford (formerly known as Southern Maine Health Care). Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School. Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.
  • Current or eligible license as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.
  • Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.
  • Current DEA Registration Certificate.
  • 3+ years' experience inclusive residency and/or fellowship training preferred.
  • Meet other credentialing criteria defined in medical staff by-laws
