Drives excellence in local Kearney Regional Medical Center (KRMC) public relations and communications efforts, in alignment with Bryan Health's overall strategy. Provides key communication direction with the community, donors, employees and public across both traditional and digital platforms, to advance the organization's vision, mission and beliefs. Partners with the Bryan Health Advancement staff and all levels of KRMC to plan, develop, implement and evaluate internal communication programs to build employee engagement and external marketing initiatives to drive consumer engagement and philanthropic giving. Partners closely with KRMC and Bryan Health's senior leaders, Employee Communication, Human Resources, Marketing and Development teams. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
- *Develops and implements employee communication and public relations strategies through traditional media, website functionality, digital/email marketing, social media and presence in emerging technologies.
- *Manages the development, integration and dissemination of organizational messaging to all KRMC employees through various platforms including Hello and Hello to Go in consultation with the Bryan Health Advancement Team.
- *Provides communication and local change management consultation and execution; working with leadership and project leaders to develop communication plans and actions, aligned with overall system strategies in consultation with the Bryan Health Advancement Team.
- *Translates concepts and messages into effective multi-media communications.
- *Ensures continuity of project-specific communication efforts with overall business messages, both internally and externally.
- *Designs, reviews and distributes internal and external communications ensuring accuracy, clarity, adherence to brand standards and appropriate messaging for each audience in consultation with the Bryan Health Advancement Team.
- *Guides production of webinars, podcasts and other avenues to promote KRMC services.
- *Serves as primary local contact with/for local media, event planning, community programming, donor engagement, graphic design, web and digital platforms, research and other identified areas.
- *Leads local employee forums by working directly with the KRMC CEO and other senior leaders to develop content. Analyzes post-forum feedback, makes recommendations and implements program improvements.
- *Coordinates local leadership meetings by working directly with the KRMC CEO and other senior leaders to develop presentation content and provide feedback on effective presentation content and style. Writes key take-away talking points for leaders to cascade information.
- Participates in regular qualitative and quantitative research to assess local market perceptions among all key internal and external constituents in consultation with the Bryan Health Advancement Team. Uses this data to establish return-on-investment (ROI) metrics for marketing and communication plans.
- Contributes to the departmental budgetary process to ensure proper operational and capital planning, appropriate and efficient use of resources, and consistent compliance to budgetary and fiscal controls.
- Develops and maintains video, publicity and photography event library and materials in consultation with the Bryan Health Advancement Team.
- Utilizes analytics to drive strategies, inform decisions and track results.
- *Drives employee messaging to connect employees to the vision and mission of Bryan Health and KRMC.
- Drives storytelling and promotes patient stories throughout the organization.
- *Hires, fires, promotes, disciplines and conducts performance appraisals for departmental staff.
- *Meets or exceeds all Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) standards for areas of responsibility; establishes policies and procedures for the department; participates in risk management activities.
- Provides leadership, counseling and continuing education to all staff members; coordinates and ensures area orientation for new employees.
- Participates in ongoing development of management expertise and quality initiatives.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
- Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
- Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field required, or an associate's degree in communications, marketing or related field along with three (3) years experience in marketing field required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in organizational communications and/or marketing required. Fundraising experience is preferred, and a history of consulting effectively with executives, senior professionals and community leaders required. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Photoshop and InDesign strongly preferred.
