Scope of work

Performs a variety of cardiac testing including, stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, dobutamine stress echocardiograms and others as indicated (ICE, 3D, strain, specialty and fetal echocardiograms); calculates acquired data and prepares study for medical staff interpretation.

Qualifications

  • Required Associate's Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent

  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree

  • Required skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through schooling training and experience related to echo including in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echo and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs

  • Preferred 3 years of relevant experience in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echos and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs

  • CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon Hire required or CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
