Description Pay Rate: $46.05 / hr. Acara Solution is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our client, located in Annapolis Junction, MD. As an electrical engineer for SC&I FSO Communications Systems, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the development, integration, and testing of FSO communications systems. Planning and leading electrical engineering root cause analysis for electrical issues. Conducting experimental tests. Evaluating results to formulate and implement solutions to issues. Contributing to the generation and maintenance of documentation. Specifying, selecting, and qualifying active and passive components. Developing and benchmarking system performance models. Developing and implementing test procedures, evaluating and selecting appropriate test instrumentation. Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 2 years of experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in lab test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Meters, and Power Supplies). Minimum 2 years of experience in the application of electrical engineering processes, concepts, principles, and theories. Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Master's Degree with 6 months of experience. Hardware Integration. Test Plan/procedure development. Proficient with electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed circuit analysis/design. Creative thinker committed to staying ahead of technology trends, with a good background in testing and troubleshooting. Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success. Additional Information: Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
