What you'll do:

As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you'll actively use data science skills and tools, such as Python and SQL programming, Azure DevOps, and Databricks to assist the Enterprise Modeling Team (EMT) in the development, implementation, and monitoring of models used for CECL, CCAR, and other uses. In the role, you will ensure the data quality, consistency, and accuracy of datasets used in modeling, implement models in EMT's Azure DevOps platform, support the model ongoing monitoring process, and conduct ad hoc data analysis as needed. Experience with SSIS, Stored Procedures and Ctrl M would be beneficial. To succeed in the role, candidates should be detailed-oriented as the team's models are subject to heavy regulatory scrutiny. Candidates should be able to work independently, and across teams. In addition, the candidate should also be able to effectively communicate - both verbally and in writing.
  • Design and implement complex logic using SQL and/or Python when given business requirements for data validations, model production, and ongoing model monitoring.
  • Explore data required for models to provide knowledge and expertise to assist in data documentation, data validation and data management (i.e., basic data 101 skills)
  • Assist with execution of the User Acceptance Testing process, including creation of acceptance criteria, development of test procedures, test execution, and test result archiving for internal system modifications and third-party deliverables. Manage details of change management procedures across different platforms as needed.
  • Develop reports and model output using MS Power BI and distribute to internal customers.
  • Provide documentation on our Confluence platform to the team and to users across the enterprise.
  • Assist IT with the management of Azure Dev Ops Server environment (manage PII data exposure, new user training, manage file storage capacity, etc.) and offer support to company-wide initiatives and IT projects when requested.

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of related experience in data analysis/data science or similar field. Experience working with statistical models, or other complex programming using SQL or Python in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS SQL and Python required. Experience with Azure DevOps and Databricks is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Project Management skills are required. Experience managing projects and using Lucid for process flows is a plus.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
