As a Manager, Field Operations at RXO, you'll manage all aspects of the third-party operations on behalf of the Customer and serve as a liaison and main point of contact between the customer and third-party carrier.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Responsible for leading carrier management to establish countermeasures and improvement plans to ensure customer KPI's are achieved and executed.
  • Follow up with carrier regarding progress being made to these countermeasures.
  • Monitor, track and evaluate carrier performance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / metrics
  • Lead on-site carrier activities to include 24 by 5 coverage for all issues not limited to natural disasters, operation shutdowns, business continuity plans, etc
  • Create and maintain standardized work procedures for activities on behalf of the customer that the 3PL is required to follow
  • Work with the customer to establish strategies for continuous improvement of the operations and cost reduction activities
  • Manage customer budget to include weekly invoice submission for validity and first level approval of invoices

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • 5 years of Logistics or transportation experience
  • Strong Fluency of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A) in a related Field
  • Demonstrated group presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization
  • Experience in the automotive industry
