FP&A Director - G&A, Staffing Controlling & Compliance

Position Summary

The Head of G&A, Staffing Controlling & Compliance is the senior leader responsible for the company's enterprisewide G&A cost management, workforce/Staffing controlling (headcount and labor cost), and policy & internal control compliance across the G&A portfolio. This role sets strategy, establishes governance, and leads a multidisciplinary controlling team supporting HR, Legal/OGC & Security, Real Estate/Brokerage, and North America G&A, while providing dottedline leadership to G&A analysts embedded in other Finance teams. The leader delivers transparent performance management, ensures adherence to financial policies and control standards, and partners with executive stakeholders to allocate resources to strategy with discipline.

Key Responsibilities

1) Strategic Leadership & Governance



  • Own the G&A financial strategy, Budgets, Forecasts, and multiyear plan; align budgets to enterprise priorities and productivity targets.
  • Key primary contact with Global G&A Controlling team.
  • Provide finance support to the North America Value Creation Program G&A Workstream.
  • Control over G&A Labor and Non-Labor, supporting and challenging functions to ensure adherence to established targets (Budget, Forecast, VCP, etc.). Work closely with HR team on monitoring headcounts approval process and monitoring targets.


2) G&A Controlling (Opex, Allocations, and Investments)



  • Lead annual planning, forecasting (rolling), and monthend close for all G&A cost centers (HR, Legal/OGC & Security, Real Estate/Brokerage, NA G&A, and corporate shared G&A).
  • Drive variance analysis (actuals vs. plan/forecast/prior year) with clear drivers, bridges, and corrective actions.
  • Govern allocation methodologies for shared services, real estate/occupancy, and brokerage fees; ensure accuracy, transparency, and fairness across receiving entities.
  • Oversee chargebacks, accruals, and classofspend analytics (T&E, professional services, contractors, real estate/occupancy, technology, etc.).
  • Evaluate and monitor business cases for G&A initiatives (e.g., transformation, technology, real estate footprint).


3) Staffing Controlling (Workforce & Labor Cost)



  • Coown the workforce plan with HR: hiring plan, attrition, transfers, vacancy holds, backfills, and organizational design impacts.
  • Provide scenario analysis/sensitivity (e.g., hiring slippage, productivity targets, org changes).


4) Compliance (CO2)



  • Responsible for providing financial support to the Compliance team for Fuel Consumption and Green House Gas for all North America regulations.
  • Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure adequate recognition of Liabilities, Assets (e.g., Credits), and P&L (both AOI and eventual Unusuals).
  • Prepare financial budgets, forecasts, multi-year plan for compliance regulations.


5) People Leadership



  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers/analysts; build succession and bench strength.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and customer service to business partners.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 10+ years progressive experience in FP&A/Controlling, including people leadership and crossfunctional business partnering.
  • Demonstrated ownership of G&A cost portfolios and workforce/headcount controlling at scale.
  • Proven record building and operating control environments (SOX, policy compliance).
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP (e.g., SAP/Oracle), BI (Power BI/Tableau), and strong Excel/analytics.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and influence; able to simplify complexity and drive decisions.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • MBA/CPA/CMA preferred.
