Description

Key Responsibilities:



  • Transformer mechanical assembly
  • Heavy transformer coil winding (1 KW to 70 KW)
  • Soldering (in-house certification will be required)
  • Assemble and wire various magnetic components
  • Winding experience (bobbin/layer winding)
  • Reading winding sheets, part lists, and mechanical drawings
  • Mechanical assembly and reworking
  • Working with different types of wire types and installation systems
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned


Required Skills:



  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization


Desired Skills:



  • Experience with soldering, reworking and mechanical systems.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Able to read and interpret specifications, diagram and/or blueprints.
  • Able to perform simple math (addition and subtraction, ex. look at dimension).
  • Good team and people's (interpersonal) skills. "Can do" attitude
  • High motivation and drive.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques of electromechanical products.
  • Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and gages such as multimeters, torque and force gages, etc.


Physical Requirements:



  • Lifting and transporting units up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Position requires extensive standing and/or sitting, and good eye-hand coordination.
  • Ability to use soldering iron
  • Use of hands in a repetitive cycle



Compensation Information

Base Hourly Range: $ 20.00-$25.00

Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
