Description

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk II will receive, check, store, issue and ship inbound/outbound materials from the warehouse. Assists in directing work of Shipping & Receiving Clerk I's.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • * Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
  • * Assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
  • * Assures shipping counts match packing documents and assists in resolving any discrepancies.
  • * Follows processes, work instructions, MSP's and other written and/or verbal instructions.
  • * Identify and help resolve discrepancies between receipts and documentation.
  • * Identify, receive, stock, distribute purchased parts after receipt.
  • * Pack customer goods according to customer expectations.
  • * Perform rinsing/drying and wet promotion of customer production through the use of bath systems and ovens following appropriate MSPs.
  • * Perform transactions in shipping portals.
  • * Receives, unpacks, and stores/delivers customer product.
  • * Recognize gross defects in customer product.
  • * Verifies proper count and content of deliveries against packing slip.


ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • * Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • * Troubleshoot and resolve simple problems.
  • * May maintain inventory of shipping and packaging materials and supplies.
  • * May help expedite orders.
  • * May load/unload trucks manually or with powered lift / forklift.
  • * May operate precision measuring instruments and record results.
  • * May process shipping orders by withdrawing from stock, weighing, packing and labeling materials for shipment.



EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum 3+ years shipping & receiving experience in a manufacturing setting. If required, obtain and maintain a valid fork lift driver certificate. If driving a company vehicle, must obtain and maintain a valid US Driver's License.

BASIC SKILLS:

* Able to accurately complete standard forms and spreadsheets compliant to quality procedures.

* Able to clearly communicate with co-workers and supervisors.

* Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

* Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

* Able to distinguish between the colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, green and violet.

* Able to perform basic math functions.

* Able to read at a 20/20 visual acuity using a Jaeger eye chart (near vision) with or without vision correction. Able to read No. 1 at 14" distance, or No. 2 at 20" distance, or No. 3 at 24" distance.

* Able to work in a multi-tasking environment

* High degree of manual dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.

* Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision
