Summary: The Warehouse Manager is accountable for the overall performance of the warehouse, encompassing operations, safety, customer service, office functions, security, and regulatory compliance. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all warehouse activities. Key responsibilities include all personnel selection, professional development, and motivation. The Warehouse Manager collaborates with senior management to set performance objectives and contribute to strategic planning, ensuring the achievement of company goals related to customer service, safety, quality assurance, cost control, inventory management, productivity, security, profit, and return on investment. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Mobility: Ability to move around the warehouse and office areas frequently. Lifting: Occasionally required to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Dexterity: Capability to handle small and large objects, operate warehouse equipment, and perform basic maintenance tasks. Vision: Good vision for reading, inspecting, and monitoring warehouse activities and data. Hearing: Ability to hear alarms, communication from team members, and machinery sounds. Physical Activity: Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching. Warehouse Setting: Primarily works in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels. Office Setting: Some duties are performed in an office setting within the warehouse. Noise Levels: Moderate to high noise levels from machinery, equipment, and operational activities. Safety: Regularly exposed to conditions where safety procedures are required, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Hours: Working extended hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak seasons or to meet deadlines, may be required. Team Interaction: Constant interaction with warehouse staff, management, and other departments. Customer Interaction: Periodic meetings and communications with customers.
