Compensation

Annual Salary Range $106,380.00 - $130,020.00 USD based on experience

Job Summary

The Network Administrator ensures stability, security, and efficiency of the organization's computer networks. This role involves managing network infrastructure, monitoring performance, implementing security protocols, and supporting scalable solutions. By minimizing downtime and enabling secure communication, the Network Administrator plays a vital role in driving operational continuity and supporting the company's digital and strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities

o Network Design & Implementation: Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment (SDWAN, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and designing network infrastructure.
o Maintenance & Upgrades: Maintaining, repairing, and upgrading network and server systems; overseeing software and firmware updates.
o Performance Monitoring: Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing efficiency and security.
o Security: Implementing and maintaining network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
o Incident Response: Diagnosing and resolving network problems, managing service recovery, and conducting incident analysis.
o Documentation & Communication: Maintaining network documentation, reporting status to stakeholders. Training or supporting users as needed.
o Procurement & Planning: Recommending and procuring network components, planning for capacity and future needs.

Main Responsibilities Continued

o Network Infrastructure Management: Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment (SDWAN, routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs, etc.).
o Network Services: Installing, configuring, and supporting network services (DNS, SMTP, DHCP, Certificates, etc.).
o Network Security: Implementing and maintaining security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, NACs, Internet proxies, and intrusion detection systems.
o Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Diagnosing and resolving network issues, performance bottlenecks, and outages.
o Performance Monitoring: Monitoring network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, latency) and optimizing for efficiency. PRTG and Zabbix.
o Network Design & Implementation: Designing scalable and resilient network architectures.
o Change & Incident Management: Managing routine changes, deployments, service recovery, and incident analysis.
o Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation and network diagrams.
o Vendor Management: Managing vendor relationships and contracts (preferred).
o Scripting & Automation: Experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools.
o Operating Systems: Experience with Windows Server 2012 & newer, and knowledge of Linux is a plus.
o Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Velo SDWAN, and Oracle OCI.
o Protocols: Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and WAN routing protocols.
o ITIL Process Adherence: Good understanding of ITIL concepts and process adherence.

Required Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field such as Networking, Software Engineering, etc.
o Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration, network engineering, or a closely related IT role.
o Experience should include hands-on work with network design, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, SDWAN, WAN, etc.).
o Certifications such as Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking Professional are highly preferred.
o Other relevant certifications CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, or ITIL certification.
o Experience with Atlassian Jira and ITIL process adherence is preferred
