POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq, LLC a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for a Sr. Director of IT Business Systems.This position is remote, with a designated home base at our corporate office in Anchorage, Alaska.


The Leader of IT Business Systems is responsible for leading the company's technology strategy with a focus on operational excellence, customer engagement, implementation and oversite of all technology systems. This role ensures that enterprise and customer-facing technologies enable efficient program delivery with Industry best practices, compliance, and scalable growth through automation and process improvements.


The Leader of IT Business Systems will oversee core business systems-including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), HRIS, payroll, and financial platforms-and ensure seamless integration across these systems. This leader will drive reliability, data integrity, customer satisfaction and secure information exchange across internal operations, external partners, and government stakeholders.



  • Lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of enterprise and operational systems supporting government contracting and commercial environments, including ERP, HRIS, payroll, finance, and program delivery systems.
  • Oversee and enhance platforms such as ADP, Costpoint, Workday, Maximo, Point of Sale (POS) and related systems to support compliant, efficient business operations.
  • Design and manage complex system integrations across payroll, benefits providers, financial systems, and card/payment platforms, ensuring accuracy, auditability, and secure data exchange.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, HR, contracts, program leadership and other stakeholders to align technology solutions with business requirements.
  • Ensure IT systems support regulatory and contractual compliance requirements, including data security, audit readiness, and reporting obligations.
  • Develop and execute an IT roadmap focused on operational efficiency and scalability, system integration, and support of government programs.
  • Establish and enforce data governance and data protection policies to ensure integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive data.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and integration partners, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
  • Lead IT due diligence and system integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT organization with a strong focus on service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Payrate:$160,634 to $204,808 Annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education:



  • Master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Required Experience:



  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience, including 7+ years in senior leadership roles within a government contracting environment.
  • Experience supporting organizations in the $500M-$1B revenue range.
  • Strong experience with ERP/HRIS/Work Management systems, including Costpoint, ADP, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, and IBM Maximo.
  • Proven experience integrating enterprise systems with benefits providers, payroll platforms, financial systems, and card/payment solutions.
  • Experience supporting audits (e.g., Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)) and ensuring systems meet regulatory and contractual requirements.


Other Required Qualifications or Skills:



  • Deep understanding of compliance requirements, including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS), and handling of sensitive or classified information
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale system implementations, integrations, and merger and acquisition activities.
  • Strong operational mindset with a focus on enabling program execution and business performance.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing IT teams in secure and regulated environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on, engaged leader who prioritizes operational impact, compliance, and mission success.
