| Essential Job Duties |
Join our Undergraduate Admissions team and play a key role in shaping the next generation of students. In this position, you'll help identify, recruit and enroll a talented and academically strong incoming class each year. You'll serve as a trusted resource for prospective students, families and counselors, guiding them through the admissions process with clarity and care.
What You'll Do
- Build meaningful connections with prospective students and families, clearly communicating admissions policies, procedures and opportunities.
- Review and evaluate applications from first-year and transfer students, making thoughtful and informed admissions decisions.
- Use data insights and industry trends to develop and refine recruitment strategies that expand our reach and impact.
- Collaborate with admissions leadership to optimize outreach efforts and improve enrollment outcomes.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to admissions interns and student ambassadors, helping them succeed in their roles and represent the university effectively.

| Other Responsibilities |
- Serve as a dynamic ambassador for NC State, building connections with prospective students, families and counselors through high school visits, college fairs and events-both in person and through phone and email outreach.
- Guide students through the college search process by sharing clear, engaging insights on academic programs, admissions requirements and next steps.
- Travel across North Carolina to expand NC State's reach and impact, with occasional weekend opportunities to connect with students and communities.
- Support a welcoming and efficient office environment by assisting visitors, managing communications and contributing to special projects.
- Lead engaging on-campus information sessions that bring the NC State experience to life for prospective students and their families.
- Review applications with a holistic lens, thoughtfully evaluating each student's achievements and potential to succeed at NC State.

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience in a university work setting preferred.
- Work requires in-depth analysis and counseling skills along with independent judgment and discretion to render appropriate admissions decisions in an increasingly competitive market.
- Demonstrated ability to make accurate and consistent interpretations of a broad variety of academic and/or administrative policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data to make informed decisions connected with department and university goals.
- Flexibility to travel for extended periods.
