We use the heart as a model system to investigate organ development, regeneration and repair in adult zebrafish, neonatal and adult mice, with an emphasis on the pathways that regulate resident stem cell activation and mature cell dedifferentiation/proliferation, and with innovative and integrated approaches in single cell analysis, advanced imaging microscopy and CRISPR/Cas9-based genome manipulation technology. The candidate will be expected to contribute to ongoing work in these areas, with specific duties including human pluripotent stem cell culture, mouse husbandry and genomics techniques. The position represents an opportunity to gain research experience in a highly collaborative scientific environment. Candidates will have opportunities to make scientific and scholarly contributions to research, which may include authoring publications. Required Qualifications:
