Job Description

The Commercial Insights Manager is a hands-on analytics role requiring deep technical capability in building datasets, models, and proof-of-concepts, combined with strong business partnership. The role will own a defined commercial domain globally and be responsible for translating data into actionable insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational improvement.



Each Insights Manager operates withglobal domain ownership (e.g., pipeline, retention, pricing, service performance) while also serving as the primary analytics liaison for a specific region (Americas, EMEA, or APAC). This role is part of a broader effort to strengthen how commercial decisions are driven by data, improving visibility, accountability, and performance across global regions.



The role combines business strategy, hands-on analytics, and cross-functional influence to drive measurable impact. Success in this role requires the ability toindependently build and test solutions (datasets, models, and proof of concepts) while influencing cross-functional stakeholders globally.



This role is located in our Charlotte, NC office coming into the office Monday - Thursday with flexibility to work remote on Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Domain Ownership



  • Own analytics for a defined commercial domain globally
  • Serve as the point person for insights, metrics, and performance visibility within assigned scope
  • Identify risks, trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities across regions
  • Translate analysis into clear business recommendations



Regional Liaison Partnership



  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for a specific region such as Americas, EMEA, or APAC
  • Partner with regional stakeholders to understand priorities, performance issues, and opportunities
  • Connect global analytics priorities to regional execution



Technical Ownership & Data Development



  • Design and build analytical datasets and semantic models in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric from raw or partially structured data sources
  • Develop and manage end-to-end POCs, including data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization
  • Work directly with data pipelines, dataflows, and Fabric components to shape and structure data for analysis
  • Apply best practices in data modeling, performance optimization (DAX), and report design
  • Ensure solutions are structured for scalability, reuse, and transition to production



Business-Facing Insights & Opportunity Identification



  • Spend a significant portion of time on business-facing activities, including opportunity identification, initiative support, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proactively surface actionable insights, not just reports
  • Turn complex data into clear, decision-ready stories



Cross-Functional Delivery



  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Service, and Operations to move projects forward
  • Support improvement initiatives with strong analytics and performance visibility
  • Influence stakeholders across a matrixed, global organization



Data Quality & Reporting Logic



  • Own data accuracy, consistency, and reporting logic within assigned domain
  • Ensure commercial metrics and reporting follow trusted definitions and best practices
  • Partner with Analytics Engineering to address data gaps and strengthen data foundations



Prioritization & Strategic Alignment



  • Partner with the Director to focus on the highest-value work
  • Help shape priorities across domain and regional needs
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and imperfect data

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years in commercial analytics, business intelligence, sales analytics, pricing analytics, or similar business-facing roles
  • Proven ability to turn data into recommendations that drive measurable improvement
  • Strong business acumen across commercial, sales, service, pricing, or operational environments
  • Advanced Power BI expertise, including:

    • Data modeling and semantic model design
    • Strong DAX proficiency (measures, optimization, context handling)
    • Power Query / M for data transformation


  • Hands-on experience building end-to-end analytical solutions, including:

    • Data ingestion and transformation
    • Dataset and model creation
    • Dashboard/report development


  • Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric), including dataflows, pipelines, and structured data layers
  • Must be comfortable independently building analytical solutions from raw or imperfect data through to final reporting outputs.
  • Experience working with incomplete or evolving data and business logic
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed or global organization



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience with systems such as SAP, Vendavo, C4C, Dynamics, CISCO, or similar enterprise platforms
  • Experience in retention, pipeline, pricing, scorecards, lead generation, or service analytics
  • Familiarity with data modeling and partnership with analytics engineering teams
  • Exposure to Python, R, or other tools for analysis and automation

  • A domain ownership role with regional partnership responsibility
  • A hands-on role requiring both commercial thinking and technical execution



This role is not:



  • A people-management role
  • A passive reporting or dashboard maintenance job
  • A pure data engineering role
  • A reactive support function handling only ad hoc requests

Pay Transparency:

Base Salary Compensation: $93,100 - 160,655



The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs. Sealed Air offers a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits designed to promote well-being.
