General Dynamics Land Systems has an opportunity for an experienced leader to provide leadership and strategic planning within the MFT (Material Fielding Team) and Stryker Sustainment organizations to meet or exceed the organization's financial goals and business objectives.
Description of work
- Manage/supervise all aspects of the Material Fielding Team's personnel and work requirements
- Responsible for providing leadership to supervisors and employees in the areas of performance management, employee relations, safety, rewards and recognition and talent acquisition
- Manage the planning/conduct of fielding's of the Stryker vehicular platform, associated equipment and ASLs under USG guidance/schedules.
- Manage employees in performing maintenance on Stryker's and associated equipment
- Manage section's training program for new personnel in technical matters the Stryker vehicle.
- Manage the quality and performance of all aspects that encompass vehicle operations and safety to include starting, stopping, driving and PMCS (Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services); operation of each crew station, and knowledge of organizational maintenance procedures.
- Manage/conduct/assist in fielding's at remote/field sites as required.
- Provide assistance to USG personnel as directed.
- Manage the installation of associated vehicle equipment and checkout for functionality as a system.
- Plan, manage, and execute budget for section
- Lead, manage, direct, and sustain a high performing repair/overhaul and test organization capable of meeting the demands of both internal and external customer requirements. Repairs to be conducted in accordance with National Standards as part of the Army Sustainment Maintenance system.
- Participate in formulating and administering company policies and directing and coordinating all service and repair activities to develop and implement long range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
- Review analysis of activities, cost, operations, and forecast data to determine departmental progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Oversee department to review production, inventory and operating reports and resolve operational, repair, and facility problems to ensure minimum cost, prevent operational delays and meet future growth.
- Define/develop service metrics based on organizational objectives/goals related to target expectations.
- Standardize service repair policies and procedures to ensure the operations are run fluently and consistently.
- Develop and maintain highly skilled, trained and efficient workers to provide for successful completion of the business plan.
- Create and maintain a work environment where employees feel their work and ideas are appreciated and needed.
- Provide leadership and experience that ensures a smooth operation and flow of activities in order to complete products in a timely manner.
- Evaluate scheduled requirements versus workflow readiness and identify exceptions/issues.
- Demonstrate successful experience with maintenance management; preferably with component repair at the sustainment level conducting national standard repairs.

Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required
- 10-15 years of supervisory/management experience preferred
- 10-15 years of related experience. Equivalent military service acceptable
- Must pass and maintain company required deployment requirements
- Computer literacy required and experience with Microsoft Office products
- Work is performed in shop and field environments. Will be exposed to products used in normal vehicle maintenance shop environment. Will be exposed to temperature extremes during conduct of job duties
- Work at an autonomous site directly with USG personnel.
- Capable of working overtime and weekends as needed.
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining company issued AMEX card.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining USG provided Common Access Card (CAC) by successfully completing NACI background check
- Ability to obtain and retain U.S. Passport

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Travel Required: Occasional - less than 20% unless there is a fielding event.
Position Salary Range:New hires generally start between $95,700 and $127,500 per year. Applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications and professional experience. The full salary range for the position is between $95,700 and $140,250 per year.
Position Incentive: Hired applicant will be able to receive an annual bonus.
