In this position, you will support daily operations at the Montgomery County Maintenance Office by providing semi-skilled assistance in building, yard, and equipment maintenance. You will help ensure safe, clean, and efficient conditions across the maintenance facility. As a Tradesman Helper, you will perform the following duties:

• Building Maintenance: Perform cleaning tasks throughout the facility including restrooms, offices, common areas, and garage spaces
• Yard Upkeep: Maintain outdoor areas by cutting grass, removing snow, and keeping grounds organized
• Mechanical Assistance: Support mechanics by completing light repairs such as oil changes, mounting tires, and replacing lights
• Supply Handling: Load and unload vendor materials and verify delivery accuracy before distribution
• Tool Care: Clean, organize, and store tools properly to support safe and efficient operations
• Equipment Washing: Wash vehicles and equipment and maintain the wash bay in a clean condition

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

• This position requires an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C driver's license or equivalent.
