Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

As a Senior Inside Sales Representative, you must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong customer-centric approach. In this role, you will take ownership of sales operations, cultivate lasting customer relationships, and mentor team members to drive collective success. Your responsibilities include:

  • Review and package complex proposals with accuracy and professionalism to meet customer needs and deadlines.
  • Proactively follow up on quotes and orders to ensure timely responses, resolve issues, and maintain strong customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with outside sales representatives, providing critical support and attending customer visits as needed to drive relationship-building and growth opportunities.
  • Submit vendor purchase orders promptly, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
  • Assist in generating reports and business forecasts to support strategic decision-making, track performance metrics, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new distribution specialists, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team performance.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support roles.
  • Proven ability to manage the sales process, deliver accurate proposals, identify upselling opportunities, and build strong customer relationships.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, Salesforce), ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in sales reporting and forecasting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and analyze sales data to drive strategic decisions and improve performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members, share best practices, and proactively take ownership of projects in a fast-paced environment.
