Location:Cofer Center Job Summary
The Specifications Systems Analyst will contribute to all aspects relating to the company cable design and specifications systems including (and not limited to) fully understanding the capabilities and limitations of the application and its integration with Southwire's ERP and MES systems. This includes the development, maintenance, testing, debugging and implementation of product design models and templates within the application, as well as providing reporting, analysis, and technical support to the application users. The candidate will play a vital role within the company R&D organization and work closely with other R&D Engineering functions, IT, and various business subject matter experts to ensure alignment between business requirements/needs and the application solutions/services. This role will be responsible for the Architecture and Governance of the CableBuilder System, Process and Procedures to align with the Company R&D, Commercial & Manufacturing Operations. Key Responsibilities
* Design, Validation and Maintenance of the Cable Design and Product Specification System: * Collaborate and communicate closely with IT, MDM, Manufacturing, Sales, Purchasing, and other R&D functions to ensure technical information and rules-based logic used in cable design and product specifications are maintained current and properly communicated through Southwire's ERP system. Also, ensure Southwire specifications meet or exceed customer expectations and requirements * Help design product model architecture to ensure best balance of maintainability, scalability, and system performance * Facilitate the CableBuilder business process, integration with SAP and master data alignment following SAP best practices * Acts as a liaison between the IT infrastructure group and R&D for the management of the CableBuilder software and database * Provide assistance to R&D, Product Management, Sales, and Manufacturing for the preparation of comprehensive data reports and analytics generated from the cable design systems Required Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and/or Masters degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent work experience Preferred Education & Experience
Working knowledge of Wire & Cable products and manufacturing processes preferred Spans of Control Travel
