The Mgr Construction Contractor Alliances is accountable for supporting and improving strategic alliance relationships with contract business partners by evaluating performance, safety, improvements, and contract adherence to sustain a safe, quality, and efficient contracted construction workforce. Accountable for ensuring the sustainability of all Design & Construction Performance Improvements (DCPI) related goals and objectives. Serves as a company liaison for contractor communications to ensure the leadership of both parties are effectively communicating and are supporting company goals.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited Institution.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 7 years of gas operations, construction and/or distribution design work experience in progressively more complex technical assignments related to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
- 3 years leading or supervision experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of rules and regulations related to natural gas design, construction and operations. Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Takes ownership of the contractor strategic alliance programs to ensure that key construction practices and procedures are consistent and effectively deployed across the Florida distribution construction operation. Provide, maintain, help develop and implement the strategies and KPI performance for construction contractors and PGS to ensure alignment with PGS capital construction deployment goals. Maintain contract administration documentation to ensure consistent and fair usage of contract. Supports governance structure, and bonus KPI structures.
- Facilitate and provide Design and Construction Managers and other PGS leadership with reoccurring DCPI updates consisting of accomplishments, project status, metrics, and goals. Follows up on deviations of KPI's with contractors and internal resources. Develop and implement resolutions. Follows up on audit findings/Corrective Opportunities to Reduce Events (CORE) resolutions including owning the Design and Construction team's change management.
- Provide oversight and direction for contractor construction program. Support distribution alliance contract strategy/negotiations. Evaluate contractors & pricing to ensure market value and adherence to current contract terms and conditions.
- Accountable for coordination with all construction safety-related concerns and developments. Work closely with the Contractor Safety Department and Damage Prevention on all safety related issues and coordinate with the construction team.
- Serve as first point of contact for contractor leadership to manage, amend, and mitigate contractual questions, issues, and expectations. Work with internal team to manage the aging invoicing reports for contractors.

Incident Response Assignment
