The Quality Assurance Analyst and Manager, Railcar Inspection ("QARI") Mexico is responsible for monitoring the manufacturing and Quality Assurance processes throughout all phases of railcar production, as well as, performing final inspections of tank cars and freight cars. The position will also have supervisory responsibility for one new Railcar Inspector in Mexico. GATX, one of the largest railcar leasing companies in the world takes delivery of up to 3,000 new railcars per year and the "QARI" efforts are intended to maximize GATX's procured railcar quality, value, and reliability from Mexico manufacturing plants while meeting GATX and customer requirements. This is a corporate hire, but the work will be located in Mexico. Time will be split between Monclova and Sabinas, and the incumbent will be required to be in one of these facilities 5 days a week. Responsibilities
Perform in-process inspections throughout all phases of manufacturing and conduct final inspections of railcars prior to shipment.
