The Senior Analyst - Commercial Finance will play a vital role in the America Commercial Finance department's transformation initiative to further enhance insightful reporting to Commercial and Executive Leadership, and streamline the budgeting, forecasting and long-range strategic planning processes. The Senior Analyst - Commercial Finance will work closely with commercial leaders, SIOP professionals and other functional experts in the organization.

Responsibilities:


This is an important role on our team as the company looks to enhance its analysis and execution of growth drivers in the region. The Sr. Analyst will be working with the Commercial Finance Director and Commercial leadership to refine and enhance existing processes, and will have the ability to lend their own insights into those enhancements. Key responsibilities will include:



  • Actively lead routine monthly management reporting responsibilities
  • Work with Commercial Leadership and SIOP team to create revenue forecasts. Process to include gathering and compiling various data sets, analyzing trends, analyzing variances and current performance metrics, and partnering with department leadership to obtain key assumptions
  • Analyze performance across accounts, end markets, and product technologies to understand drivers of variance as relating to market changes, MCC share gain/loss, customer performance, etc. Use performance analysis to identify areas of risk and opportunity to future performance. Execute "5 why" analysis to understand changes in revenue trends, and convey results of this analysis in concise manner to executive leadership
  • Assist in translation of sales and demand forecasts to operational sites and P&L forecasts
  • Validate achievement of pricing initiatives and other price forecast drivers
  • Support the evaluation of payback from growth projects that require capital and prioritization of project pipeline
  • Partner with the organization to execute the annual revenue budgeting process, provide monthly rolling forecasts, analysis of KPI data and participate in the strategic planning process
  • Build, document, and deploy scalable processes and systems that ensure repeatable, high-quality execution
  • Listen closely and ask questions to ensure complete understanding of any issue or question-at-hand in order to provide the most concise and accurate reporting/analysis
  • Prepare presentations and executive reports for Senior Management and Board of Directors


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 4 to 6 years of overall experience in finance and/or accounting
  • Consistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-change environment required
  • Experience with financial modeling
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel a must
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and across departments
  • Assertive, action orientated hands-on, "roll up your sleeves"-type approach
  • Energetic, strong work ethic, resilient, collaborative, ability to juggle multiple projects at once and personally committed to achieving success
  • CST or EST preferred



This role is primarily office-based or home office-based, requiring extended periods of sitting, computer use, occasional walking or light lifting, and may involve brief visits to manufacturing areas; reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
