Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY
The SUPERVISOR-NUTRITION provides leadership and coordinates the resources of patient services staff. They will manage a cross-functional team to achieve quality, customer satisfaction, and patient service goals; develop operational and capital budgets for assigned areas; monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory agency requirements; ensure compliance with HACCP protocols; and develop and train staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Facilitates and ensures timely delivery of patient meals. Supervises patient meal delivery processes to assure compliance with nutrition care standards.
  • Monitors patient menu selections, compliance with diet prescriptions and documentation of essential meal nutrient information for the medical record.
  • Monitors patient satisfaction and quality measures. Tracts balanced scorecard metrics and adjusts tactics to meet department strategies.
  • Provides and Orientation for all new Food & Nutrition staff.
  • Prepares operation budget and monitors compliance with budgeted expense. Prepares work schedules and maintains staffing to meet customer service standards and cost containment.
  • Maintains excellent communications with customer, patients, department leaders and staff. Viewed by organization as poised, courteous, respectful and responsive.
  • Investigates and corrects patient related complaints in a timely manner
  • Interviews applicants for job openings and makes recommendation for hire.
  • Prepares and presents performance appraisals for supervised staff.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelors or 4 years' work related experience Required
EXPERIENCE
  • 2 years with one (1) year in a leadership role Required
  • 2 years related experience Preferred
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Manager Food Handlers Card - Certification Required
