Preventative Maintenance Technician (PRT Technician)

Position Summary

Join the team as a Preventive Maintenance Technician, a critical role responsible for ensuring every rental unit meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and guest readiness. This position focuses on proactive maintenance-identifying and resolving mechanical and aesthetic issues before guest arrival to deliver a seamless and "perfect" stay experience.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections across all rental units
  • Identify and resolve maintenance issues prior to guest occupancy
  • Complete minor repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, sheetrock, painting, and general upkeep
  • Execute scheduled maintenance programs to preserve asset quality and performance
  • Ensure all units meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality
  • Document inspections, repairs, and outstanding issues using HOTSOS or similar systems
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, internal teams, and external vendors to optimize unit readiness
  • Maintain organized tools, equipment, and workspaces
  • Assist in monitoring maintenance inventory and supply levels


Additional Duties



  • Support scheduling and tracking of preventative maintenance activities
  • Report major repair needs and safety concerns promptly
  • Assist with unit turns and high-occupancy readiness efforts
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and safety standards


Qualifications & Requirements



  • Minimum age: 18 (21+ if operating company vehicles)
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years of maintenance experience (property management, rental, or hospitality preferred)
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
  • Experience with painting and basic room repairs preferred
  • OSHA safety knowledge or Hazard Communication certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HOTSOS experience a plus
