Key Tasks

• Supervise staff
  and operations of their department (general assembly, active assembly,
  hardware, fabrication, order picking, order printing, receiving, and
  shipping areas; cutting and sewing; etc.)
  
• Plan and assign
  work
  
• Assists in
  training employees
  
• Has the authority
  for hiring, termination, discipline, and performance decisions
  
• Read and follow work order specifications via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) & order hard copies to ensure quality parts in a timely fashion
  
• Identify and
  implement productivity improvements.
  
• Ensure a safe
  working environment
  
• Resolve sales
  orders, materials, quality, and/or other issues that may arise in your
  area.
  
• Resolve personnel
  issues and document accordingly.
  
• Responsible for
  communicating stock/product issues to the appropriate departments
  
• Responsible for
  maintaining product quality standards
  
• Responsible to
  ensure products are shipped accurately
  
• Maintain a clean
  and organized work area.
  
• Work with
  Engineering on new products and changes to existing products.
  
• Understand and
  enforce Permobil rules established through the employee handbook.

Your Background

• Supervisory experience preferred.
  
• Requires high school diploma.
  
• Requires 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience or Associates Degree.
  
• Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and to make metric system conversions.
  
• Ability to read a tape measure.
  
• Must have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions written in English.
  
• Basic knowledge of Comfort Company line products preferred.
  
• Able to multitask.
  
• Must be proficient with computer programs.
  
• Requires good oral and written communication skills.
