Job Summary/Primary Purpose: The Member & Guest Services Attendant provides exceptional front-line customer service while supporting the administrative operations of the Welcome Desk. The Attendant serves as a knowledgeable resource on Kroc Center programs, services, and policies, ensuring members and guests receive timely, accurate, and welcoming support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting members and guests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner.
  • Accurately enter and maintain member and guest information in the system, ensuring all data is complete and up to date.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate departments as needed.
  • Set up and maintain basic member profiles, including account creation, updates, and general troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Kroc Center programs, services, schedules, and policies to effectively assist and inform members and guests.
  • Communicate program offerings clearly and connect individuals to services that meet their needs.
  • Ensure that all communications and tasks are handled in a timely, professional, and confidential manner.
  • Demonstrate attentive listening skills by showing empathy, respect, and understanding.
  • Escalate member concerns or issues to the appropriate supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Welcome Desk and common areas, ensuring materials are stocked and presentable.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks including filing, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Ensure revenues are handled according to policies and procedures. Collect membership fees, sell day passes, gift cards, issue guest passes. Operate computer and software systems as it relates to membership and programs.
  • Support team operations and collaborate with staff to ensure efficient workflow and consistent service delivery.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related field preferred.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.



  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse population.
  • English proficiency required; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn and navigate membership software systems.
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience handling phone systems and providing customer support via phone and in person preferred
  • Administrative and office skills, including filing, record-keeping, and use of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and sound judgment.


Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training as established by The Salvation Army.

Physical requirements include good speaking, hearing and vision. Excellent manual dexterity. Ability to stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment. This position will require the ability to lift and/or move more than 25 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions: The work environment is in a community center setting with light to moderate traffic and noise levels.
