Overview
VTG is seeking a Manager for Digital Supply Chain Operations and Sustainment, responsible for project leadership, growth, operations, and execution performance of Supply Chain projects enabled by digital capabilities.
What will you do?
- Supply Chain and Operations
- Provide onsite supply chain and warehousing process improvement support to federal clients.
- Support the implementation of a warehouse modernization project, including the adoption of warehouse management systems, RFID inventory tracking, mobile scanning, automation tools, and related warehouse technologies.
- Assess current warehouse operations, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements to increase inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, throughput, and accountability.
- Serve as a central engagement point for warehouse employees to collect feedback on system functionality, usability, performance, training needs, and operational challenges.
- Work directly with warehouse supervisors, inventory personnel, system users, program managers, and technical teams to document business requirements and operational pain points.
- Support the client's Tier 1 helpdesk by helping triage warehouse system support requests, identify recurring issues, document resolutions, and escalate technical problems as needed.
- Analyze Warehouse Management System data to assess operational performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance performance dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Track and report warehouse performance KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, receiving cycle time, put-away time, pick/pack/ship performance, backlog, transaction timeliness, and system utilization.
- Support change management activities, including user adoption, communications, training support, and documentation for new warehouse processes and technologies.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, work instructions, user guides, process flows, and system support documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, including logistics, IT, cybersecurity, engineering, contracting, and program management teams.
- Support data validation, system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities associated with warehouse modernization efforts.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies that may affect implementation schedules, system adoption, or warehouse performance.
- Provide recommendations to improve inventory visibility, asset accountability, audit readiness, and compliance with federal logistics requirements.
- Prepare briefings, status reports, meeting materials, and executive-level updates for client and VTG leadership.
- Maintain a strong onsite presence and build effective working relationships with client personnel and warehouse teams.

Do you have what it takes?
Required qualifications/skills/abilities:
- US citizenship, including the eligibility to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or facility access, as required by the contract.
- 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to work onsite at a client location and collaborate with federal client stakeholders.
- Experience supporting warehouse operations, supply chain management, logistics process improvement, or inventory management.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management System principles, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, cycle counting, and transaction management.
- Familiarity with RFID inventory tracking systems, barcode scanning, mobile data collection, and other warehouse modernization technologies.
- Experience assessing warehouse performance data and developing reports, metrics, or dashboards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Ability to engage directly with warehouse personnel to gather feedback, understand operational challenges, and translate user input into actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to support helpdesk triage activities, including documenting issues, identifying trends, and coordinating escalation with technical teams.
- Experience documenting business processes, requirements, standard operating procedures, or training materials.
