Job Description

The Resin Handler is responsible for ensuring that correct resin blends are delivered to each production line through the resin delivery system. This role is critical to maintaining consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Resin Handler supports production schedules, troubleshoots system issues, and coordinates with operators and Maintenance teams to keep manufacturing processes running smoothly.

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver correct resin blends to production lines according to schedule.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, GMP, and HACCP policies.
  • Perform housekeeping in and around rail cars, silos, and blending areas.
  • Troubleshoot resin delivery system issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Accurately enter formulas, blends, and work orders into computer systems.
  • Assist operators with line setup and color changes.
  • Maintain filter systems and monitor silo reports daily.
  • Unload railcars or pumper trucks to silos assigned by inventory coordinator.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3-6 months as a Production Packer; or 3-6 months in manufacturing or related field.
  • Certification (Preferred): Forklift license, safety training (fall protection, PPE compliance).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Behaviors

  • Knowledge:
    • Resin, additives, and blending processes.
    • GMP, HACCP, and safety regulations
  • Skills:
    • Computer literacy (formula entry, silo reports).
    • Forklift and pallet jack operation.
    • Maguire blender programming.
    • Basic mathematics (fractions, decimals, percentages).
  • Abilities:
    • Lift up to 80 lbs. unassisted; push/pull up to 100 lbs.
    • Work in loud, high-stress environments with PPE.
    • Interpret written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions.
    • Solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Behaviors
    • Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
    • Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
    • Adaptable to changing priorities and time pressures.

  • Physical Demands:
    • Frequent climbing, kneeling, belding, twisting: up to 66% of shift.
  • Work Environment:
    • Loud manufacturing setting with moving machinery; PPE required.
