DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the daily operations of the Maintenance Unit by handling clerical tasks and assisting staff with a variety of needs. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Office Coordination: Manage scheduling, organize events, and assist with meetings and trainings
- Communication Support: Answer and direct calls, provide customer service, and route mail and correspondence
- Record Management: Maintain electronic files, track updates in systems, and send weekly reports
- Fuel and Fleet Tracking: Monitor fuel usage, balance invoices, update reservation systems, and maintain vehicle records
- Safety and Compliance: Assists District Safety Specialist with the completion of accident reports and enter accident info into the ESS & ATS systems
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- One year or more prior employment in the clerical field.
- One year or more experience using Microsoft Office products.
- One year or more experience in office work, such as scheduling and coordinating events, meetings, and/or trainings.
- Two years or more customer service background (answering incoming telephone calls, re-routing class as a switchboard operator, or speaking with customers and/or employees that come into the office).
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
