Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate bulldozers (Cat D6, D8, or similar) for site clearing, earthmoving, and grading
  • Utilize GPS/grade control systems to maintain accurate cut/fill elevations
  • Read and interpret digital site models, plans, and grade stakes
  • Perform daily equipment inspections (pre- and post-shift)
  • Coordinate with foremen and surveyors to ensure grade accuracy
  • Maintain smooth surfaces and proper drainage patterns
  • Assist with site cleanup and general labor tasks as needed
  • Report equipment issues promptly
  • Follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards
  • Maintain production efficiency and minimize rework
Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience operating a dozer in heavy civil or site development
  • Experience with GPS machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica, etc.)
  • Ability to read grade stakes and construction plans
  • Understanding of earthmoving and grading principles
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety practices and OSHA standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience on roadway, DOT, or infrastructure projects
  • Experience with finish grading using GPS systems
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • CDL (if required)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment safely
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when needed
Work Environment

Heavy civil construction sites including roadway, mass grading, and site development projects.
