Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, provide guidance to in-house & contract personnel for the installation, modification, maintenance and repair of plant assets including Electrical / Mechanical infrastructure and a wide variety of machine shop equipment. Requires strong technical, organizational, administrative & personnel management skills and the ability to assess equipment / infrastructure issues to develop short & long term solutions to optimize equipment uptime. Plans short & long term maintenance activities and budgets including daily, weekly, and monthly PMs.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Directs daily scheduled and unscheduled mechanical / electrical maintenance activities throughout the plant based on direction from the Facilities Manager.
  • Provides support to production operations by identifying constraints related to equipment or facilities and providing appropriate alternatives.
  • Reinforce zero accident safety culture, collaborating with EHS to insure adherence to PPE, Safe work practices within the Maintenance department.
  • Assist Facilities manager in development of performance expectations for Maintenance personnel, provide coaching, training & performance feedback as appropriate.
  • Works closely with production operations to coordinate maintenance issues.
  • Assist with development and tracking of maintenance department metrics & the selection / implementation / management of Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Monitors machine downtime and preventative maintenance status; taking appropriate corrective action and reporting status as required.
  • Ensures all work performed by direct employees and contractors meets all regulatory agency requirements (e.g. OSHA, EPA, Cal-OSHA, etc.).
  • Determines department staffing needs; recruiting and hiring as appropriate.
  • Actively coaches, develops, monitors, evaluates, and continually improves the performance and competency of all team members from an individual and team perspective.
  • Complies with all environmental safe practices and regulations. Reads all MSDS' and possesses thorough knowledge of all oil and chemical labeling and storage requirements. Conducts or assigns the responsibility for performing the EH&S self-inspection, 6S audit and safety huddles.
  • Complies with and supports the PCC Code of Conduct.

  • 5+ years related experience in Supervision/performance management

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $96,300 to $120,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
