We are committed to delivering high-quality services while creating meaningful employment opportunities and supporting military operations through our government contracts. ________________________________________ Role Overview VersAbility Resources is seeking a dependable and motivated Lead Food Service Worker to support food service operations within a government dining facility serving military personnel. This hands-on leadership role supports daily contract operations by providing guidance, training, and direction to Food Service Workers while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate is a team player who leads by example, enjoys coaching others, maintains high standards, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Lead Food Service Worker may serve as the onsite point of contact in the absence of the Contract Manager and is an important role in supporting customer service, contract compliance, operational coordination, and employee development. ________________________________________ What You'll Do *Support daily contract operations in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) *Coordinate and assign work activities during assigned shifts *Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and training to Food Service Workers *Monitor work performance and maintain quality standards *Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment *Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently *Clean and maintain equipment according to established procedures *Assist with employee scheduling, work assignments, and operational coordination *Support compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and organizational policies *Complete required documentation, reports, and communications accurately and timely *Provide excellent customer service and assist with resolving routine operational concerns *Promote professional communication with military personnel, customers, employees, and leadership *Perform other duties as assigned ________________________________________ Qualifications *High school diploma or GED preferred *Minimum of two years of leadership, lead worker, team leader, or related operational experience preferred *Experience in food service, customer service, warehouse, logistics, custodial, production, or government contract environments preferred *Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills *Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks *Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with employees, customers, and government personnel *Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday *Must pass required background/security screenings conducted by VersAbility Resources and the U.S. Government *Food Safety, CPR/BLS, First Aid, or sanitation certifications preferred but not required ________________________________________ Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position operates within a government food service environment and may involve exposure to commercial equipment, varying temperatures, moderate noise, and fast-paced operational demands. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and support daily operations while maintaining quality and safety standards. ________________________________________ Schedule This position is scheduled from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
