The Opportunity:

UCF is seeking a Director, Athletics Compliance to support and strengthen the university's commitment to integrity and excellence in intercollegiate athletics. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, this role serves as a key leader within the Athletics Compliance Office, helping to oversee day-to-day compliance operations and ensuring adherence to NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.

The Director partners closely with coaches, athletics staff, student-athletes, and campus stakeholders to provide clear guidance, education, and support on complex compliance matters. This position plays a critical role in fostering accountability and collaboration while helping programs operate successfully within a highly regulated environment.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a compliance professional who can both manage people and programs while staying engaged in the day-to-day work. The Director will help supervise and develop team members, support ongoing compliance initiatives, and contribute to the continued evolution of UCF's compliance operations. Responsibilities:


  • Maintain compliance with NCAA, conference, university, and athletics association rules across assigned sports programs.

  • Provide rules interpretation, guidance, and day-to-day compliance support to coaches, staff, student-athletes, and campus partners.

  • Administer compliance activities across key areas including recruiting, eligibility, amateurism, financial aid, awards and benefits, and playing/practice seasons.

  • Monitor compliance processes and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.

  • Identify, investigate, and document potential violations and support reporting and resolution efforts.

  • Assist with NCAA waivers and student-athlete reinstatement case preparation and submission.

  • Develop and deliver rules education programming and communicate legislative updates to key stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary compliance contact for assigned sports and designated liaison groups.

  • Collaborate with campus partners to implement and maintain effective compliance processes and documentation.


Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 2+ years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience supporting or managing compliance operations within a collegiate athletics environment.

  • Experience in NCAA Division I athletics compliance, with a strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with coaches, staff, student-athletes, and campus partners.

  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a compliance or athletics setting.

  • Experience working across multiple sport programs or functional areas within athletics.

  • Experience delivering rules education, guidance, or training to various stakeholder groups.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
