What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a Project Manager, Construction Servicesto support our growing construction management practice in Fairfax / Washington DC area.

What you'll be challenged to do:

Project Engineer who will be responsible for the administrative and technical support activities to the Task Manager, PM and CE. The Project Engineer generally performs varied administrative office functions, maintains contract records, plans and specifications, and related engineering and administrative records, and supports overall staff. The duties for this role require the individual to work in-person from WMATA RBIR office.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage and maintain file structures within Procore and update accordingly. Maintain familiarity with all documentation located in Procore;
  • Provide program staff with guidance on the use and application of Procore;
  • Supports management of project deliverables in Procore;
  • Interpret construction documents to certify that work is performed in accordance with approved plans;
  • Maintains familiarity and working knowledge with WMATA standard processes and procedures;
  • Contributes to progress updates and performance metrics to monthly briefings;
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals with whom interface is required;
  • Maintain complex project controls, filings, and corresponding contract administration required record keeping;
  • Manages contractor hiring, badging and RWP training requests;
  • Manage meetings, agendas, minutes, attendances, and distributions;
  • Assist CE, PM and Task Manager with the review of invoices, accruals, certified payrolls;
  • Manage project delays through delay tracker template, work planner, RSA reports, production analysis, project photos;
  • Review Inspection Daily Reports (IDRs) and provide CE, PM and Task Manager with summary of work shifts;
  • Manage Safety Infraction log, Daily Log, Equipment Log, Drawings, Specifications, Invoices in Procore;
  • Assist CE, PM and Task Manager to develop the cost analysis and cash flow;
  • Create presentation, documents, high quality visual products associated with all aspect of the project controls, budget, schedule, staffing, resources, equipment and change order components; and
  • Perform other program related support as assigned by the Task Manager.
Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related equivalent, plus a minimum of five (5) years experience managing large projects. Educational qualifications can be substituted for at least seven (7) years of experience in same;
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of civil, mechanical and related engineering disciplines;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex files and maintaining the corresponding, required project controls;
  • Working knowledge of engineering requirements, program policies and procedures by which the Authority is governed including Federal, state and local transit administration regulations and policies
What we prefer you bring:
  • Experience communicating technical information verbally and in writing;
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills; and
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $145,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
