Hours

  • 12:00am -8:30am (Sunday- Thursday: Start Sunday night, End Friday Morning)
  • Occasional OT on Saturdays

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $37. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician!

The Advanced Maintenance Technician is a technical authority within a high-mix, automated manufacturing environment. This role leads complex troubleshooting, equipment restoration, and reliability improvements across CNC, robotic, and fully integrated production systems. The Senior Technician works independently, mentors others, and drives up-time and maintainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
  • Diagnose PLC, drive, servo, and safety circuit failures
  • Perform precision alignment, calibration, and validation
  • Lead major repairs, rebuilds, and equipment retrofits
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
  • Mentor technicians and provide technical guidance
  • Improve maintenance strategies and equipment reliability
  • Expert troubleshooting of automated and CNC systems
  • Strong PLC diagnostics and system-level problem solving
  • Deep knowledge of drives, servos, and motion systems
  • Advanced fluid power diagnostics
  • Strong root cause and reliability mindset
  • Equipment Supported:
  • Advanced CNC systems and machining centers
  • Fully integrated robotic production cells
  • Automated paint, plating, and process systems
  • Complex PLC-controlled production lines and safety systems
  • Advanced multimeters and electrical diagnostic tools
  • Oscilloscope (for signal analysis)
  • Vibration analyzer and thermography camera
  • Laser alignment systems
  • Advanced calibration tools

What you'll Need To Succeed:

  • 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Advanced multi-craft expertise (mechanical, electrical, controls)
  • Strong PLC and automation troubleshooting capability
  • Ability to lead complex repair efforts independently
  • CNC or robotics specialization
  • Machine rebuild or retrofit experience
  • Predictive maintenance and reliability program involvement

Major Physical Demands:

  • Standing Remaining in an upright position 75% of the time with intermittent walking and sitting.
  • Lifting Frequent lifting of components ranging from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
  • Walking Frequent walking short distances from job to job throughout the plant.
  • Carrying Occasional carrying of equipment components or tools weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Pushing Occasional use of hand truck, parts cart, to move portable equipment a moderate distance.
  • Pulling Occasional use of hand truck, parts cart, to move portable equipment a moderate distance.
  • Bending Frequent bending required to perform job tasks.
  • Reaching Frequent reaching to install and remove parts or assemblies from equipment.
  • Handling Continuous handling of small hand tools, power tools and equipment
