Job Description

The University of Missouri Office of Admissions is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Student Recruitment Specialist to help us recruit the next generation of Mizzou Tigers. This position must reside in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area and serves as Mizzou's regional representative for the Office of Admissions. The position serves as a member of the Admissions Team, managing the assigned recruitment territory to assist in achieving enrollment goals for Mizzou. This position provides information about Mizzou and the college planning process to prospective students, parents and high school counselors. Qualified candidates will be passionate about higher education and eager to join a fun and hard-working team. This position requires a home-based office within the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area and should not be considered an 8-5 job includes frequent evening and occasional weekend commitments to support recruitment events and outreach activities.

This position maintains an off-site home-based recruitment office designed to plan, execute and evaluate these recruitment activities:

-Independently manage an assigned recruitment territory by developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive recruitment strategy designed to achieve enrollment goals. This includes
building and executing a dynamic recruitment plan that blends proven tactics with creative outreach tailored to the market as well as reviewing and analyzing data to determine fairs and events to attend and which schools to visit. You will build a comprehensive plan to visit high schools, attend college fairs, make travel arrangements and conduct visits.
-Cultivating strong relationships with high school counselors.
-Maintain accurate records in Slate CRM, analyze recruitment outcomes and market trends, and adjust recruitment strategies based on data and performance metrics.
-Working with Admissions leadership and marketing to design campaigns that resonate in the market for families.
-Partner with alumni volunteers and regional alumni chapters to increase engagement, support recruitment initiatives, and strengthen Mizzou's visibility throughout the territory.
-Help plan and host special recruitment events for prospective students within the market. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni, to coordinate logistics.

This position maintains an off-site recruitment office designed to plan, execute and evaluate these recruitment activities:

-Informing prospective students and their parents about the University of Missouri's academic programs, requirements and life on campus which will include attending some on and off campus programs.
-Communicating with prospective students, parents and high school counselors and presenting to groups ranging from 20-300 people.
-Building relationships with prospective students and their families to share the Mizzou experience.
-Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and periodically to Mizzou's campus for recruitment events, training, and professional development. Additional overnight travel outside the territory may be required.

Attend training sessions to maintain knowledge of current information on degree programs, residential life and financial aid issues.

Other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Valid driver's license required.

Shift

8-5, Monday-Friday with extensive evening and weekend hours required

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Enthusiastic candidates who work well independently as well as in a team.
* Experience with presenting
* Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously.
* Qualified candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented and adaptable to change given the nature of the position.
* Qualified candidates will have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and/or CRMs, including Slate
* Knowledge of the University of Missouri campus and programs

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $26-$29 hourly

Grade: GGS-8
