The Opportunity

At i360technologies, we deliver business consulting and technology solutions that support the mission of federal agencies. We are seeking a Technical Writer to develop and maintain the procedural and technical documentation that supports the client's Oracle Federal Financials environment, operated as a shared service serving multiple agencies.

This role turns complex system and financial processes into clear, accurate, accessible documentation, and keeps that documentation current as the system changes. This role is on-site at the client's Financial Service Center (FSC) in Chesapeake, VA. Telework is limited and requires client approval, so this is an in-office role. Work is performed within the FSC's normal help desk operating hours (6:00 am-9:00 pm ET, Monday-Friday) on a typical 40-hour week; occasional work outside normal hours (for example, maintenance weekends and month-end or year-end closing) may be required.

What You Will Do
  • Write and maintain procedural documentation, including SOPs, desk guides, job aids, and user guides for system and financial processes.
  • Develop and edit functional and technical specifications, manuals, reports, and other client deliverables.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze technical information from functional, technical, and help desk staff, and translate it into clear guidance.
  • Keep documentation current as configurations, processes, and releases change, and version it appropriately.
  • Ensure documentation meets Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Contribute documentation to comprehensive solution packages for new solutions and major enhancements.
  • Support recurring status and help desk performance reporting as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least 7 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience producing procedural and technical documentation for technical or financial systems.
  • Strong command of writing mechanics, organization, and documentation tools.
  • Ability to work on-site in Chesapeake, VA.
  • Use AI tools to improve efficiency in research, drafting, and analysis, while validating all outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Preferred Experience
  • Documentation experience in Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Federal Financials, or other enterprise financial systems.
  • Familiarity with federal financial management environments and shared service operations.
  • Experience with Section 508 compliance and ServiceNow-managed change control.
What Success Looks Like
  • Suggested: SOPs, desk guides, and job aids stay current as configurations, processes, and releases change.
  • Suggested: Documentation meets Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Suggested: Solution packages for new solutions and major enhancements include complete, accurate documentation.
Security & Eligibility Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Selected candidate must successfully clear a U.S. government suitability background check.
  • Must sign a non-disclosure agreement before gaining site and system access.
