The Opportunity
At i360technologies, we deliver business consulting and technology solutions that support the mission of federal agencies. We are seeking a Financial Operations Senior Analyst to lead day-to-day financial business operations within the client's Oracle Federal Financials environment, operated as a shared service serving multiple agencies. This role owns the financial processing schedule and period close, and serves as a subject matter expert for posting logic. This role is on-site at the client's Financial Service Center (FSC) in Chesapeake, VA. Telework is limited and requires client approval, so this is an in-office role. Work is performed within the FSC's normal help desk operating hours (6:00 am-9:00 pm ET, Monday-Friday) on a typical 40-hour week; occasional work outside normal hours (for example, maintenance weekends and month-end or year-end closing) may be required.
What You Will Do
- Create and maintain the financial business processing schedule for the supported agencies and others if added.
- Coordinate and perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings and openings, including re-openings of prior periods, and support year-end closing and lessons-learned sessions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for posting logic rules to ensure compliance.
- Oversee recurring operations (Journal Voucher creation, interface monitoring, DATA Act deliverables, TPIN report and analysis) performed by the Financial Operations Analysts.
- Support analysis and reporting of the Prior Year Adjustments (PYA) process and recommend solutions for financial issues.
- Participate in exercises supporting business continuity (BCP) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans.
- Support internal and external audits: walkthroughs, auditor data requests, remediation recommendations, and data calls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of related experience.
- Experience performing period close and journal processing in a federal financial system.
- Ability to work on-site in Chesapeake, VA.
- Use AI tools to improve efficiency in research, drafting, and analysis, while validating all outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Preferred Experience
- Oracle Federal Financials experience, including posting logic / Subledger Accounting.
- Knowledge of DATA Act and TPIN reporting.
- Federal audit support experience.
What Success Looks Like
- Suggested: The financial business processing schedule is current and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings run on time.
